Collections are assessed according to location, equipment quantity, asset type, condition, access and processing requirements.

Assets included in the agreed scope can be recorded using manufacturer, model, serial number, asset tag, storage details and processing outcome. The reporting level is confirmed before collection.
Software-based data erasure
Supported functioning storage devices can be erased using a method agreed for the job. The processing result and any exceptions are recorded at the reporting level selected by the customer.

Failed, damaged or policy-restricted media can follow a physical-destruction route where software erasure is unsuitable or not permitted.
Refurbishment and reuse
Equipment suitable for further use is assessed, tested and prepared for reuse after the agreed data-processing route has been completed.

Non-reusable equipment is segregated and transferred through an appropriate downstream route. Reuse is considered first where practical, and the intended outcome is agreed as part of the service scope.

Collection and controlled processing
Collection is free in most cases. Accepted equipment is collected for controlled processing at our Crewe facility. We assess each request based on location, volume, equipment condition, security requirements, handling needs and potential asset value. A charge may apply where a collection involves unusual travel, restricted access, specialist or bulky equipment, on-site processing or other additional resources. Any charge will always be explained and agreed in advance.
Processing at your premises
On-site physical media destruction may be available where operationally suitable. Scope, method, availability and charges are agreed in advance.
